On Thursday, LSU men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon welcomed his third high school recruit for the 2024-25 season as guard Vyctorius Miller from Los Angeles, California, officially signed his national letter of intent papers. Miller, standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 180 pounds, is a highly regarded four-star prospect. He previously attended Crean Lutheran High School in California as a sophomore in 2022 before transferring to Arizona Compass Prep for both 2023 and 2024.

“We’re excited to have Vyctorius Miller join the LSU Basketball program,” Coach McMahon expressed. “Vyctorius brings exceptional skills and talent to our team, particularly with his prowess in 3-point shooting and his ability to score in diverse ways. His creativity and effectiveness in attacking off ball screens and handoffs make him a valuable playmaker. With his skill set, he aligns perfectly with our team’s playing style. We eagerly anticipate his arrival in Baton Rouge later this month.”

Miller’s impressive performance in high school earned him recognition, being ranked No. 42 by ESPN and No. 51 by Rivals.com. He notably contributed to Compass Prep’s successful season, helping them achieve a 27-6 record and secure a spot in the Chipotle National High School Championships. During the championship tournament, he showcased his scoring ability with 18 points in the quarterfinal contest. In the EYBL NIKE Scholastic league in 2024, Miller maintained solid averages of 11.5 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game for Compass Prep, displaying impressive shooting percentages of 46.7% overall and 41.4% from three-point range.

During his sophomore season at Crean Lutheran, Miller displayed dominance, averaging 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game, leading his team to the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs.

Joining previously signed high school recruits Robert Miller from Pasadena Memorial High School and Curtis Givens III from Montverde Academy, Miller adds depth and talent to LSU’s roster. All three players are currently ranked in the top 65 in the On3.com basketball player rankings for the 2024 class. With a team ranking of No. 13 in the 247sports basketball recruiting rankings, LSU continues to bolster its lineup with promising talent.

In addition to their high school recruits, LSU has made significant additions from the transfer portal, securing Dji Bailey from Richmond, Cam Carter from Kansas State, and Jordan Sears from UT Martin.
