Auburn has been actively pursuing Fegans for some time, considering him a top priority in their recruitment efforts. Ranked as the #3 safety in the class of 2025 and the #2 prospect from Alabama, Fegans initially committed to USC before retracting his commitment in August 2023.

He has made multiple visits to Auburn, including trips in February and March of this year. Auburn’s defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and cornerbacks coach Wesley McGriff have been instrumental in recruiting him. Fegans mentioned to Auburn Rivals that while he hasn’t singled out a frontrunner in his recruitment, Auburn football is undoubtedly among his top three choices.

However,  Fegans’ father believes that the Tigers are standing out above the other programs vying for his son’s interest, which he credited to the relationships they’ve been building with the coaching staff. Fegans says his recruitment will come down to more than just football.

“I mean, like, just take football out of it,” Fegans said, “The people, that town, the people are just great and the people just treat you as one of theirs. Fegans has set official visits to Georgia, Clemson, Miami, and Washington over the summer, and an official visit to the Plains could be on the books for this fall. Although he does not have a timeline for his decision, he did reveal that it could come at any moment, whenever he feels most comfortable.
