Montgomery joins Asa Newell, a 6 feet 10 inches, 215-pound power forward from Destin, Fla., as one of the newcomers for Georgia’s 2024-25 roster. Notably, Newell was ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the 247Sports.com composite ledger for the Class of 2024 prep prospects.

The upcoming 2024-25 season will mark the Bulldogs’ third under head coach Mike White. Under his leadership, Georgia has seen significant improvements, including a 10-win increase in regular-season victories during his first season, which was among the highest in Power conference programs. Last season, the Bulldogs made it to the semifinals of the NIT, marking their first 20-win season since 2016.
