Breaking: Falcons sign ex Packers 2nd-Round Pick, fans react weird to the signing

The Falcons are adding a player who used to play for the Green Bay Packers but hasn’t played for the past two seasons due to health issues. They’re making additions to their roster in preparation for their offseason training program.

Kevin King is making a return to the NFL

As per the Falcons, King was signed to the team after being absent for two consecutive seasons.

“This move signifies King’s comeback to the NFL following a two-year hiatus. King brings with him five seasons of experience from 2017 to 2021. Originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers out of Washington in the second round, King spent four years on a rookie contract before agreeing to a one-year deal with the Packers in 2021.

In 2022, King opted out of the season for personal reasons. Subsequently, he missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn Achilles tendon suffered during an offseason workout while preparing for training camp.”

King was productive before the injury

Before his injury, King demonstrated high productivity with the Packers, starting in 42 games and accumulating 197 total tackles, seven interceptions, and two forced fumbles over his first five years in the league.

The Falcons are bolstering their secondary with the addition of King for the upcoming season, bringing in a quality player. Hopefully, King can make a strong comeback and rejuvenate his career.

The Falcons’ defense sees another player returning to action after a hiatus, with defensive tackle Eddie Goldman joining the team last week after sitting out the previous two seasons.
