Huge boost for bills as they reportedly confirm another vital signing to bolster offensive line

The Buffalo Bills bolstered their offensive line by securing a one-year contract with La’el Collins, adding valuable depth. Collins, aged 30, previously auditioned for the Bills towards the end of the regular season but ultimately joined the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys. Following a period marked by injuries, Collins sees this opportunity with the Bills as a chance to rejuvenate his career.

Familiar with Buffalo

Apart from his recent workout with the Bills in late December last season, Collins had also contemplated joining the Bills as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) back in 2015. At that time, Rex Ryan, who was the head coach, personally visited Baton Rouge in an attempt to persuade Collins to join the Buffalo roster. However, Collins ultimately decided to sign a fully guaranteed three-year, $1.7 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
It took some time, but Buffalo was finally able to get Collins.
Chose Buffalo over another suitor
The Buffalo Bills faced competition in their pursuit of La’el Collins. According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Collins had at least one other team interested in him before ultimately deciding to join Buffalo. Schultz mentioned that Collins opted for Buffalo with the aspiration of winning a Super Bowl.

Has 80-plus career starts
Collins brings a wealth of experience to Buffalo. Throughout his stints with both the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bengals, he has participated in 89 games and made 86 starts.
Versatility
Collins has showcased versatility in his career, having played at both left guard and right tackle positions. In Buffalo, he is anticipated to vie for the left guard position, potentially contending with David Edwards for the role. His capability to perform effectively across various spots on the offensive line enhances his likelihood of securing a spot on the final roster.
