Heat receive injury boost as key Player is set to be back for playoff push

The Miami Heat currently hold the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and are gearing up to participate in the Play-In Tournament in a few weeks.

They are optimistic about initiating a postseason campaign reminiscent of last year’s success. Additionally, they are eagerly awaiting the return of one of their key players to the lineup.

According to Shams Charania’s report, Tyler Herro may make his return to the lineup on Friday against the Houston Rockets.

Herro has been sidelined since February due to a foot injury but has been accompanying his team during their current road trip.

As previously mentioned, Herro has been sidelined since February due to injury, and he also missed several games earlier in the season due to a separate injury.

Throughout the 2023-24 season, Herro has only been able to participate in 36 games, but he has maintained impressive averages of 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.

For a considerable period, Herro served as the team’s dependable sixth man, even earning the Sixth Man of the Year award in the 2021-22 season. However, his role has since evolved, and he now holds a starting position. There is hope that Herro will rejoin the team this weekend, allowing him time to readjust to playing and prepare for potential postseason action.

Though currently holding the seventh seed, the Heat find themselves in a familiar position compared to last year. Despite unfavorable odds, they managed to defy expectations and advance all the way to the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, Herro missed out on this journey due to a hand injury at the time.

Regardless of how far the Heat progress this year, it seems certain that Herro will be a significant part of their postseason endeavors.
