BREAKING: Miami Dolphins Sign Dominant Run-Stuffer

The Miami Dolphins have secured the services of former Houston Texans defensive tackle known for his prowess in stopping the run.

Initial news of Tart’s acquisition was disclosed by Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report. Tart’s addition to the Dolphins comes after a particularly strong season with the Texans, during which he consistently displayed his dominance on the field. He is anticipated to fill a significant void left by Christian Wilkins, who departed for the Las Vegas Raiders earlier in free agency. Tart was released by the Titans in December of the previous year, only to be claimed by the Houston Texans off waivers, where he played a pivotal role in their playoff campaign.

Zoltan Buday, writing for Pro Football Focus prior to the start of free agency, highlighted Teair Tart’s standout performance two years ago, where he ranked 17th among interior defenders in pass-rushing grade with 75.9.

Since joining the league as an undrafted free agent post the 2020 NFL Draft, Tart has amassed 79 total tackles, including 16 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in his first 47 career games.

In Miami, Tart is expected to assume a significant role in the team’s defensive tackle rotation.
