Angel Reese Takes Shot At LA Times Writer With Now Viral Social-Media Post

If there’s one aspect defining Angel Reese, star player of LSU Tigers women’s basketball, it’s her refusal to tolerate disrespect. While Reese primarily lets her performance on the court speak for itself, her outspoken nature surfaces when necessary, be it during games or on social media.

A recent instance exemplifies this stance, as Reese indirectly addressed criticism from a Los Angeles Times writer through an Instagram post.

The post juxtaposed milk and cookies with Frank’s Red Hot sauce, accompanied by the caption “we loveeee milk & cookies.”

This response directly alludes to comments made by Ben Bolich of the LA Times regarding LSU’s matchup with UCLA in the Sweet 16. Bolich’s words painted a stark comparison between the teams, touching on themes like innocence versus sophistication, and warmth versus intensity.

LSU coach Kim Mulkey condemned Bolich’s commentary after her team’s victory, particularly objecting to his portrayal of the players. Mulkey defended her team, emphasizing her responsibility to shield her players from unwarranted attacks.

Although Reese refrained from addressing the article directly in her press conference, her Instagram post indicates her unwillingness to let such criticisms pass unnoticed.
