Charles Leclerc up for ‘exciting’ Lewis Hamilton ‘challenge’

When asked by Fox Sports whether the news of Hamilton joining Ferrari came as a surprise or if he was informed beforehand, Leclerc stated that he had been aware of the possibility for some time. While it was unexpected to learn that it could happen, Leclerc highlighted his strong relationship with Carlos Sainz and expressed excitement for their final season together. He acknowledged the challenge of having Hamilton as a teammate, considering him the most successful driver in F1 history.

Leclerc recognized the opportunity to learn from Hamilton but emphasized his intent to showcase his own abilities and compete against him. He views it as an exciting challenge and an opportunity to prove himself.

The start of the 2024 F1 season has seen mixed results for Leclerc and Hamilton. Leclerc has secured two podium finishes in the opening three rounds, whereas Hamilton has yet to finish higher than seventh place.
