Crews enjoyed a breakout season with the Skyhawks, averaging 19.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting an impressive 48.5% from the field. He boasted the second-highest three-point shooting percentage in his conference, trailing only Kalil Thomas of Morehead State.

Entering the transfer portal on March 11, Crews garnered significant attention from numerous coaches, including those from Kansas State, UCLA, Kansas, Gonzaga, Arkansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma, among others, as reported by Joe Tipton.

Amidst a challenging season for Missouri, Crews represents their first acquisition from the transfer portal and stands out as one of the most coveted players currently available. His standout performances earned him first-team NABC All-District honors, first-team All-OVC accolades, and recognition on the OVC All-Newcomer Team. Additionally, he ranks nationally in several statistical categories, including three-pointers made per game, overall field-goal percentage, free-throw percentage, and free throws made per game.

Crews previously averaged 19.9 points per game during the 2022-23 season at Daytona State and 2.6 points per game during the 2021-22 season at North Florida.
