Florida football has resumed its recruiting efforts following a brief pause, and amidst hosting numerous high school prospects this spring, Billy Napier and his team are also organizing official visits for the summer.
Among the notable names planning a trip to Gainesville this summer is Dallas Wilson, a five-star wide receiver from Tampa Bay Tech in the 2025 recruiting class. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 180 pounds, Wilson is currently committed to the Oregon Ducks since January 17, 2023, but seems to be exploring other potential opportunities.
“I’ve been opening my eyes up to other schools more and more and seeing what’s going on with them just to get a feel for it,” Wilson said to InsideTheU after a recent visit there this month. I don’t know how it’s going to end up in the end. I still like Oregon, but I’m considering other schools–Miami one of them.”
Wilson’s visit to Gainesville is scheduled for the weekend of June 14-16. Additionally, he has planned visits to Miami for the weekend of June 7-9 and to Oregon for the weekend of June 21-23.
Regarding other schools vying for his talents, Wilson mentioned several contenders earlier this month. He expressed interest in Miami, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Clemson, and Auburn, among others.
Throughout his recruitment process, Wilson has been in contact with wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales, assistant wide receiver coach David Doeker, and has received support from Coach Napier. Wilson noted the positive energy he feels from the coaching staff, both over the phone and in person, emphasizing their ability to bring out positive vibes and create a good rapport during interactions.

Wilson holds impressive rankings in the recruiting landscape. According to the 247Sports composite, he is ranked No. 22 overall and No. 5 at his position nationally. Similarly, the On3 industry ranking places him at Nos. 25 overall and 5 at his position.
