Latest Georgia Bulldogs News: Head Coach Kirby Smart Comments on Trevor Etienne Arrest

As the Georgia Bulldogs gear up for their third week of spring practice, head coach Kirby Smart addressed the media following a weekend filled with notable developments off the field. Among the headlines were multiple commitments, including defensive tackle Stephon Shivers (2025) and quarterback Jared Curtis (2026), alongside the flip of former five-star commit Justus Terry (2025). However, the recruiting frenzy wasn’t the only buzz, as transfer running back Trevor Etienne’s arrest for DUI early Sunday morning added to the mix.

In response to the incident, Coach Smart reiterated his sentiments from last week, emphasizing Etienne’s positive character and the support from his family. Acknowledging the reality that young individuals sometimes make poor choices, Smart expressed that Etienne is experiencing embarrassment and regret. He sees this as a learning opportunity for Etienne, who will face both in-house and university disciplinary actions.
