2026 four-star quarterback Jared Curtis puts Ole Miss in Top 10

Georgia Bulldogs Land Commitment From 4-Star Highly Touted QB Jared Curtis

On Saturday, Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs secured a commitment from Curtis, a promising quarterback prospect from Nashville. Despite receiving offers from powerhouse programs like Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee, Curtis ultimately chose to join Georgia’s ranks. Many recruiting analysts initially predicted he would opt for Columbus, but ultimately, he decided to align with the Bulldogs.

Curtis is praised for his strong arm and confident demeanor on the field. Standing at approximately 6-foot-3 and weighing around 215 pounds during his freshman year, he possesses an advantageous physical build. Initially starting his football journey as a running back, Curtis transitioned to the quarterback position and quickly excelled. In his freshman season, he impressed by leading his team to 10 victories and accumulating over 2,750 yards of offense, earning him the title of Mr. Football runner-up in Tennessee.

As per the scouting report from 247 Sports, Jared Curtis demonstrates a fearlessness in throwing deep passes and exhibits proficiency in connecting on vertical shots. Additionally, he excels in delivering well-timed throws on breaking routes over the middle. While he may not fit the mold of a traditional dual-threat quarterback, Curtis can effectively extend plays with his legs and improvise when the pocket collapses. Reviewing his camp footage reveals a combination of both velocity and finesse in his throws. Although he still needs to refine his ability to read complex defenses at the next level, he is already emerging as one of the top quarterbacks early in the 2026 recruiting cycle. His versatile skill set suggests he could thrive in various offensive systems.

This skill set aligns well with the Georgia Bulldogs, who boast a competitive quarterback room but are always on the lookout for talent to maintain their position atop the SEC.

In the 2023 season, Jared Curtis led Nashville Christian to the semifinals of Tennessee’s Division II-A playoffs, achieving a 6-7 record. He completed 180 out of 321 pass attempts (56.1%) for 2,522 yards with 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Additionally, he contributed 543 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
