Breaking News: Canadiens reportedly confirm the signing of another top star

The Canadiens have announced their acquisition of forward Jacob Perreault from the Anaheim Ducks, trading forward Jan Mysak in return. Perreault, a Montreal native and son of former Canadiens player Yanic Perreault, will join the AHL’s Laval Rocket. Having recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 31 games for the San Diego Gulls this season, the 21-year-old right-winger has primarily played in the AHL, with just one NHL game under his belt. Perreault was originally drafted by the Ducks in the first round (27th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, the same year the Canadiens selected defenceman Kaiden Guhle with the 16th overall pick.
