Roughriders reportedly confirm another vital signing

The Green and White team has expanded their training camp squad by adding Holton Hill, a former cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings. Hill, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 196 pounds, initially joined Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Despite his undrafted status, he managed to make significant contributions. Over the course of 26 NFL games, Hill, known as “Hollywood,” amassed 73 tackles (including one for a loss), seven pass breakups, one interception, one sack, and one fumble recovery. Besides the Vikings, he has also had stints with the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, and Cincinnati Bengals.

During his college years, the 26-year-old played three seasons at the University of Texas. He recorded 121 tackles (including one for a loss), 14 pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble. Notably, Hill intercepted the ball three times during his college career, returning each one for a touchdown. Additionally, he received an All-Big 12 honorable mention as a true freshman.

Hill now joins a group of American defensive backs, including Mark Fields II, Cole Coleman, Nick Nelson, C.J. Coldon, and Marcus Murphy, all vying for a spot on the training camp roster with hopes of making the final squad in June.
