Toronto Argonauts inked a deal with former Blue Bombers experienced player

The Toronto Argonauts have inked a deal with experienced American wide receiver Rasheed Bailey. Bailey, who is 30 years old, had a stint with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2023, participating in 18 games and making 46 receptions for 508 yards and six touchdowns. Standing at six-foot-one and weighing 217 pounds, Bailey previously spent the initial four seasons of his CFL career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, contributing to their four consecutive Grey Cup appearances, clinching two victories. Hailing from Philadelphia, Bailey showcased his peak performance in 2022, securing 63 receptions for 729 yards and nine touchdowns.

Throughout his CFL journey, Bailey has amassed 180 catches, totaling 2,072 yards and scoring 20 touchdowns across 58 regular season games. Before transitioning to the CFL, Bailey, a product of Delaware Valley University, played in the NFL from 2015 to 2018, representing teams like Philadelphia, Jacksonville, San Diego, Cleveland, and Carolina.

The Toronto team is set to kick off their 2024 regular season on Sunday, June 9, hosting the B.C. Lions at BMO Field.
