Travis Kelce breaks his silence after fatal Kansas City shooting

Travis Kelce has spoken out for the first time since the tragic shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade that resulted in one fatality and nearly twenty injuries. The Chiefs’ tight end, alongside his brother Jason, shared a message on social media before their upcoming podcast episode.

Travis expressed that despite having a pre-recorded episode scheduled for Wednesday, they felt it was necessary to address the community first in light of the recent events. He conveyed love and solidarity to Kansas City and the Chiefs Kingdom, assuring them of their support and promising to reconnect soon. The brothers also urged fans to contribute to an emergency fund aimed at assisting the victims, their families, first responders, and initiatives for violence prevention and mental health support.

Jason expressed condolences to the victims, their families, Chiefs Kingdom, and the entire Kansas City community who had gathered to celebrate. He described the events as deeply unfortunate and tragic. Jason also extended gratitude to the local law enforcement, first responders, and anyone who has offered assistance to those impacted by the tragedy.

Jason, the Eagles center, highlighted the unity and support emerging from the Kansas City community in response to the tragedy.

 

 

He emphasized the strength of community, including the dedicated viewers of their podcast, whom he affectionately referred to as the ’92 percenters’. Travis and Jason Kelce also disclosed their intention to contribute to fundraising and support initiatives. Jason mentioned that they are currently in the process of organizing their involvement and have some initial ideas.
