Although his RBI numbers saw a slight dip, Grichuk showcased his enduring hitting prowess with 49 extra-base hits, an increase from his 2022 performance. His power, especially in a platoon role, could prove to be a valuable asset for the team.

While Grichuk has primarily been a starter throughout his career, his performance discrepancies became more pronounced last season. According to MLB.Com, he recorded a .244 batting average when facing right-handed pitchers, contrasted with a more robust .328 average against left-handers.

This suggests that Grichuk could serve as a valuable asset for the Diamondbacks when their starting outfielders require rest against left-handed pitchers.

Furthermore, the 32-year-old will be revisiting a division where he has excelled in the past. During his previous tenure in the NL West with the Rockies, he boasted a remarkable .308 batting average, marking his highest average with any team.
