PGA Tour: Tiger Woods offers high praise for Josh Allen after Genesis Invitational Pro-Am

The NFL offseason has kicked off, allowing players to unwind and have fun. However, Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills didn’t take a break. Despite a grueling football season, he transitioned to the PGA Tour, crossing paths with golf icon Tiger Woods. Woods was impressed by Allen’s golfing prowess at The Genesis Invitational Pro-Am, acknowledging his dedication despite the physical toll of football. This wasn’t Allen’s first foray into golf with pros; he previously joined the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after his team’s exit from the playoffs. Even in the presence of golf legends like Woods, Allen remains starstruck, placing him alongside Kobe Bryant in terms of admiration. Woods recognizes Allen’s passion for golf, noting their shared competitive and analytical mindset, evident in Allen’s thoughtful inquiries during their encounter.

“Woods noted that Allen asked insightful questions today, displaying a level of inquiry typical of athletes. This shared mindset, he observed, is what fosters camaraderie between them. Their compatibility stems from similar ambitions: Allen anticipates his Bills contending for the Super Bowl once again in the upcoming fall season, while the PGA legend is focused on recuperating from his ankle injury sustained during The Masters. Despite his setback, Woods remains determined to compete in tournaments monthly, showcasing his resilience.”
