Nobby Solano and Mick Martin were honored at both the club’s Hall of Fame induction and a Newcastle United Foundation event last week. Solano, a beloved figure among Toon supporters for his contributions during two stints with the club in the late 90s and early 00s, has expressed his support for Bruno Guimaraes to eventually join him in the esteemed Hall of Fame.

Renowned for his adept playmaking abilities on the right side, Solano made 314 appearances for the Magpies over nine seasons. Alongside former midfielder Mick Martin, Solano was inducted into the Hall of Fame, having represented Newcastle in prestigious competitions like the Champions League under Sir Bobby Robson and being part of the 1999 FA Cup final squad.

Looking to the present, Guimaraes has emerged as a vital figure in Newcastle’s midfield, earning acclaim for his recent performance with a brace against Nottingham Forest, which secured a crucial 3-2 victory for the team and revived their pursuit of European football.
