Another Montreal Canadiens star suffers a devastating injury

The Montreal Canadiens have reported that forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to a lower-body injury. Additionally, defenseman Jordan Harris is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, while defenseman Kaiden Guhle’s condition is still under assessment.

Harvey-Pinard exited Saturday’s game against the Dallas Stars prematurely after sustaining an injury during an unforeseen incident. He collided with teammate Joel Armia during a routine play, resulting in an awkward fall and subsequent departure from the game. This marks the third instance this season that Harvey-Pinard has faced injury setbacks. Despite playing 24 games this season, he has only managed to tally one goal and seven points, along with six penalty minutes and an even +0 rating. This contrasts sharply with his rookie season performance last year when he recorded 14 goals and 20 points in 34 games. His recent injury troubles likely explain the decline in his performance, and the team is optimistic about his recovery from the current injury.

There is speculation that Harvey-Pinard’s injury could be related to a concussion, which is notoriously unpredictable. Given the Canadiens’ position far from playoff contention, it’s advisable not to rush Harvey-Pinard’s return to the lineup.

Harris has been absent from play since January 27th but is nearing a comeback. He has established himself as a promising defensive asset for the Canadiens.

Guhle completed the Saturday game against the Stars but sustained an injury at some point during the match. His condition is currently being evaluated.
