Another Ex-Birmingham City star announces retirement

After 14 years as a professional footballer, Nicolai Brock-Madsen, the former Birmingham City striker, has decided to retire at the age of 31. He plans to shift his focus to launching a sports investment business aimed at assisting players in reaching their full potential.

Brock-Madsen’s tenure at Birmingham City, which began in 2015, was challenging, marked by limited success. Despite high hopes upon his arrival and a significant transfer fee paid to Randers, his performance in the Championship fell short, resulting in just eight appearances without any goals. Subsequent loan spells at PEC Zwolle, Cracovia, and St Mirren followed before he returned to Denmark in 2019. After a stint away from Birmingham City, he rejoined Randers in 2021 but has been without a club since the conclusion of last season.

Although he had offers from various countries, Brock-Madsen opted to retire, expressing gratitude to all those who supported him throughout his career, from his early days in Helsted at the age of five to his final chapter at Randers FC.
